Every card on the canvas feeds the bible, the outline and the text. Rename a character and the name changes in the manuscript too. Move a scene in the outline and it moves on the canvas too. You never write the same information twice.
Every card becomes an entry, filed by section, with its photo gallery and links. Nothing to copy over: the bible updates whenever the canvas changes, and exports to PDF or Word.
Pick a story structure and drag your scenes into its beats. Each beat says in one line what belongs there, and each scene has its synopsis.
The whole book scrolls as one, on book-sized pages: indents, justified text, a drop cap at each chapter opening. Click a passage to edit it in place.
Six elements with standard indents, all from the keyboard: Tab changes the type, Enter moves to the next logical element. A line starting with “int.” becomes a scene heading.

Yes. A project can be a novel or a screenplay, and switch at any time. The screenplay editor follows standard format (scene headings, action, characters, dialogue, parentheticals, transitions), counts pages and minutes, and saves in Fountain. It imports and exports Final Draft (.fdx) files.
MondoWrite prepares your paperback interior as a print-ready PDF and a correctly sized cover template for Amazon KDP, with the spine calculated from the page count. A warning tells you if KDP would reject the file. You then upload to KDP from your Amazon account.
Yes. A Word (.docx), Markdown or text file becomes a novel project, split into chapters and scenes. A Fountain or Final Draft screenplay becomes a screenplay project, with its Scene, Character and Location cards already created and linked.
In the folder you choose on your computer, as Markdown and Fountain files. MondoWrite has no account and no server. To work across computers, put the folder in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. If you connect an online AI, only the passages it analyses are sent to that provider.
No. Every writing, outlining and export feature works without AI. It stays an option, local (Ollama, LM Studio) or with your own key, and it never writes for you.
Mobile apps are planned: the interface already handles touch. Sync between devices will follow, then collaboration.
